The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) and neighbouring Clyde Auditorium are two of the best-recognised buildings at Pacific Quay. Together, they form a world-class events space, which also regularly hosts the biggest names in entertainment. The Clyde Auditorium is known locally as the Armadillo, due to its quirky design.

Known as XFM Scotland until November 2008, Capital Radio is also based at Pacific Quay, where well-known personalities such as Des Clarke broadcast from the network's Scottish base.
